Rolling resistance, before you build it.
Artificial Intelligence for Rolling Resistance. AIRR learns from the tyres you have already measured and puts a number — with its expected range — against a design that only exists as a drawing.
AIRR
Know a tyre's rolling resistance before you build it.
Rolling resistance is usually known only after a tyre has been made and measured, so most tread concepts are discarded on judgement rather than evidence. AIRR learns the link between tread design and measured rolling resistance from your own reference tyres, then predicts an untested design from its non-skid depth, land ratio, tan δ and tread-block shape — with an expected range.
Predictions are estimates from your measured reference tyres and do not replace physical testing. Rolling resistance only — wear, grip and noise are not modelled.
AIRR brochure PDF · 1 page · 533 KBWindows desktop application, delivered as a single .exe — nothing else to install. Licensed separately for passenger car (PCR) and truck and bus (TBR) radials; time-limited trial licences can be issued for evaluation. Reference tyres, pitch images and predictions are processed on your computer. The licence check sends only the licence key and application name to Woodtecher’s licence server, so an internet connection is needed to open the application.
Every prediction carries the range it is expected to fall in, and a warning when a design sits outside the tyres the model was built on.
The rest is easier to show than to write down.
